This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Sérgio Lucas. My Level 1 Coaching course Teacher with whom I learnt so much, helping me develop my love for the sport. This time I learnt a few more things I now share with you.
The past Saturday (18th of October 2014) I went to the HBF Stadium to go through the Chetkovich Cup experience for the first time. As I explained on my latest blog post – 2014 Chetkovich Cup – it is a Western Australia Gymnastics event featuring all seven disciplines of Gymnastics where one of six teams can win The Chetkovich Cup. The Allana Slater medal was also up to grabs by the most artistic routine performed.
We were in 2011 and my journey in the world of trampolines was, in my view, in full swing. I had recently received my level 2 coach qualification; was coaching a great team that, until then, were doing an enviable journey in terms of objectives and conquered goals, even under somewhat adverse conditions; I had made great friends with whom I learned a lot; I took part in many events and competitions in our local and national circuit but something was missing…
With much delay on my part (moving to the other side of the world has it’s issues) I finally present to you Amadeu Neves‘ Interview. A Portuguese trampolinist who turned his sporting experiences in to an artistic career. Thank you in advance for Amadeu’s Video Tour of the OVO’s backstage.
The Portuguese National Double Mini Trampoline and Tumbling Championship was held in May 3rd in Leiria , at the “Pousos” Pavilion, where my club (Assiociação Trampolins Fabriltramp) was represented in the following Double Mini Trampoline levels by 3 gymnasts :
13-14 – Inês Mendes and Raquel Solposto;
15-16 – João Paulino.
For my first interview on my new blog I had the previlege of talking to the one and only Trampoline’s Flippin’ Authority, our Trampoline Pundit – Leigh Hennessy Robson – about her gymnastics career and how it influenced her life to the present day.
Today I’ll be talking with Greg Roe. He’s a gymnast, a coach, jumps from cranes on to air bags, has a big skills program on youtube and big plans for the future!
Thank you Greg, for everything!
